In the spring of 2009 our hearts were stirred again to consider adoption. Yet all the doors seemed to be closed. Once you have experienced the miracle of adoption, as we had, it never really leaves your heart. Our hearts belonged to China. Our daughters Jena and Lily are from that vast and beautiful country. China had instituted some new rules right after we adopted Lily in 2006 and we had been told we no longer qualified. Yet the desire to return never completely left. Last year we asked a couple of questions and found that at least one agency would take a chance on us, but only we those with the highest level of special needs. We looked at the faces and saw our daughter there.
